We are looking for a versatile and skilled Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development, particularly in building and maintaining web services on an in-house API Gateway, as well as managing MySQL databases in a clustered environment. Beyond development, this role involves providing IT support, handling various technology implementations, and supporting AMFIE's core banking system and internal business support systems. The candidate should be adaptable, proactive, and able to take on a wide range of tasks within the technology department to ensure smooth daily operations and long-term improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize web services using Python on the in-house API Gateway.
- Collaborate with team members to design, implement, and scale API solutions that integrate seamlessly with internal systems.
- Install, configure, and manage MySQL databases in a clustered environment, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to web services, APIs, and databases.
- Provide technical assistance to internal users regarding Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence tools.
- Draft IT procedures and technical documentation to ensure optimal management of tools and systems.
- Develop and integrate recurring queries or reporting solutions to meet business needs.
- Linux knowledge to create scripts (bash, Python, etc.), automate and streamline processes.
- Implement software solutions and provide technical support across different departments to ensure systems function smoothly.
- Support AMFIE's core banking system, all internal business support systems, and implement needed evolutions and enhancements to ensure availability.
- Act as a liaison between development teams and business units, gathering requirements and ensuring projects align with business objectives.
- Monitor application and database performance, address bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
- Document all development, system processes, and IT solutions for internal use and knowledge sharing.
- Support and maintain BI projects, from data modeling to reporting solutions, tailored to business requirements.
- Implement and maintain system integrations, handling all aspects of API connectivity, backend operations, and data management.
- Anticipating and mitigating issues before they arise.
- Manage and provide guidance on user training and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in Python development, with a focus on web services, API integrations, and database management.
- Proven experience with setting up and managing MySQL databases in a clustered environment.
- Expertise in RESTful API development principles and best practices.
- Strong understanding of database design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with system integrations and backend technologies.
- Proficiency in Linux environments and scripting languages (bash, Python, etc.).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Solid experience in writing technical documentation and process flows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with API Gateway solutions (in-house or third-party).
- Knowledge of both MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server database systems.
- Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines for API and database deployments.
- Familiarity with BI tools and data visualization.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git and collaborative development environments.
